Eva Stimpfl

*1956   lives and works in Innsbruck

She studied Germanic languages and literature and Slavic studies at Innsbruck University. “What interests me is the ‘background’, the environment, that which surrounds things and bodies, in other words the mantle, or the shell. The spaces of my images are not sharply defined spaces, not geometric or architectural spaces, but instead they have flexible, soft borders.” (Stimpfl)

Discover our Collection

Discover the almost 1,200 works in our constantly growing collection in our online database. In the future, the collection will be expanded primarily through the purchases of current contemporary art associated with the art prizes. However, the jury will also recommend annual purchases to the Board of Directors to supplement the existing holdings of recent Tyrolean art history.
