Walter Pichler

*1936   +2012  

He studied at the Innsbruck school of arts and crafts and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Pichler produced objects, sculptures and installations and designed models of utopian cities, which engaged with space and how it was experienced by the individual.

Discover the almost 1,200 works in our constantly growing collection in our online database. In the future, the collection will be expanded primarily through the purchases of current contemporary art associated with the art prizes. However, the jury will also recommend annual purchases to the Board of Directors to supplement the existing holdings of recent Tyrolean art history.
