Werner Feiersinger

*1966   lives and works in Vienna

He studies with Wander Bertoni and Ernst Caramelle (master class sculpture) at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna. Feiersinger explores found objects or buildings to develop new objects that are put into a dialogue with photography. Such as stool-like objects, but where the seats are missing, and therefore the possibility of recourse, too: "This allusion of value, which changes into disappointment, makes Feiersinger’s work funny and scary at the same time." (Jörg Heiser)

Discover the almost 1,200 works in our constantly growing collection in our online database. In the future, the collection will be expanded primarily through the purchases of current contemporary art associated with the art prizes. However, the jury will also recommend annual purchases to the Board of Directors to supplement the existing holdings of recent Tyrolean art history.
