The legacy of Dr. Hans Klocker, a passionate mountaineer and collector of minerals, also comprises a valuable collection of 731 minerals and 18 fossils from Tyrol, South Tyrol and other Alpine regions, as well as from North and South America and Africa. The collection, built with a lot of expertise, other discoveries and purchases were handed over to the scientific collections of the Tyrolean State Museums, conserved by their staff, classified, and inventoried as part of the Klocker Foundation’s collections. The highlights are exhibited at the Villa Klocker in Innsbruck-Arzl.
