lives and works in Vienna and Berlin
From 1987 to 1993, Ruhm studied at the Vienna University of Applied Arts with Peter Weibel. 1996/97 Visiting professor for visual media at the Offenbach am Main University of Design. 2005/2006 professor for film and video at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart. Since 2006 she has been a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the department of digital media.
Sandbichler visited the Technical school for wood and stone sculpture in Innsbruck; Art Students League, NYC, with Martin Knox. 1984 to 1986 University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Wander Bertoni, until 1991 sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Bruno Gironcoli. 1993 to 1994 State University of Fine Arts in Frankfurt am Main, New Media Department, Peter Weibel. In 1995 he exhibited in the Austrian pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia.
