Sonja Alhäuser

*1969   lives and works in Berlin

She studied at the Arts Academy of the city of Düsseldorf from 1989 to 1994. Her paintings and drawings are about ‘food’, for example chocolate, which she uses physically as an artistic strategy in her practice, in order to evoke indulgence in both a literal and figurative sense.
