Moldovan studied commercial art and illustration at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Sergius Pauser and Herbert Boeckl in 1945. Venice Biennale 1950; São Paulo Art Biennial 1954; Brussels World Exhibition 1958. Grand Austrian State Prize 1968. In city vedute and landscapes – primarily as prints, drawings and watercolours – he engaged with the international political stage.
