*1974 lives and works in Vienna
She studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna; Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milano; Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. Numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Otto Mauer Award 2004. In her painterly oeuvre as well as in comprehensive spatial installations Stocker examines the conditions of perception through the reduction of the perceptual space to a black-and-white grid. The grid forms both the point of departure and world of imagery and perception.
