Matthias Krinzinger

*1982   lives and works in Vienna and Innsbruck

Krinzinger studied sculpture and media art with Erwin Wurm at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, diploma in 2012 with Martin Walde. In addition to taking part in exhibitions at home and abroad, he also directs and organizes exhibitions himself. He is co-founder of the art space "Horse" in Vienna. Social interactions, the use of familiar everyday objects and the staging of everyday situations are the focus of his interest. In his art he tries to question the necessary categories of human thought; a dissolution of these - before a different kind of return - is possible.
